Ill. Vol. in Co. G; served eighteen months and seven days; was slightly wounded in battle at Bald Hill, in front of Atlanta, the day Gen. McPherson was killed; Dem; Lib; married Mrs. Elizabeth S. Misner, formerly Miss Elizabeth S. Neff, Jan. 14, 1877; she was born in Shenandoah Co. Va. June 19, 1831.
