Looking for the surname BURNS, 1870s in Bureau County.

I am seeking to identify the father of an ancestor I believe to be illegitimate. Mary Ellen GIPE is also known as Ella BURNS, and was born April 1871 in Buda, Bureau County, Illinois. Two marriage records identify her mother to be Arilla GIPE, who was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Barncord) GIPE of Buda, Bureau County. Those same records identify her father as Edward BURNS and census records for my ancestor indicate Edward BURNS was born in Illinois. Arilla GIPE was just 13 or 14 years old when she gave birth to this child. No information is known of Edward BURNS.

Thank you!

Searching for the wives of Samuel Foster Bennett b. Ashburnham, MA in 1831. He married first Almira C. Hastings in 1858. A daughter Mary was born abt 1859. The mother died in 1863 and I finally found Mary in
Waterford, VT in the 1880 census. I would like any info on her. Also another wife ( Mary ) died here along with a son Charles. Samuel married second Mary A. Shears bef 1873. I believe their son was Charles b. abt 1873 in Neponset. Mary A and Charles are buried in the Neponset Cem. Then Samuel married third Bessie A. Mccormick b. abt 1849 in Ireland. I would like to know anything about these 3 families. I know nothing of their backgrounds or parentage.
I have family info from there on. The names are - Hastings ; Shear(s) and McCormick and Samuel Foster Bennett. Bev

I am searching for information on William and Nancy Rollins, located in Mineral, Bureau Co., Il. as of 1870 Federal Census, but cannot find anything past then on them. William's son, Frank Addison, living with some Stephensons at the time, near William, was my Ggrandfather and I need information on him to help fill in the spaces for my genealogy. Does anyone have any information as to where I should look as I do not know where William or Nancy died, but do know that Frank died in Henry Co., in 1913? I can't find anything past 1870 in Bureau Co. for William. Thank you for any help in advance. By 1880, Nancy had gone to Kewanee, in Henry Co. Bureau is my problem county.

This is just a shot in the dark. My Great-Great Grandparents raised 14 kids in Hall/Ladd area from late 1890s to mid 1910s before moving to Rockford. Some of the female children disappear from the household during that time, and are of age to be married. I'm assuming they married in the area, but don't know how to track that down. I'll throw out their maiden names....Mary Bender, Elizabeth Bender, Ella Bender...GGpa's name was Anton Bender, he was a coal miner in the area. Any help would be appreciated. jimmydageek@cox.net

My brickwall is my husband's Grandmother's name and her family. She was listed on the 1900 US Federal Census as Helen Lalach and shortly after that she married a Stanley Sharkey. She was born in LaSalle Co., Illinois but I have been unable to find any record of her birth, her parents or the real spelling of her last name. I have seen it spelled Lelach, Lalach, Lilach etc. Her parents were possibly from Lithuania. If anyone has come across this surname or anything like it, your help would be greatly appreciated. We have hit a major brick wall and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Annie/Annice Lyng born Ireland and son Thomas Lyng are found in Bureau County, Spring Valley in 1910 with his wife, Emma Lindquist Lyng and two children, Thomas E and Victor J.
In 1900 Annie and Thomas are in Spring Valley.
Census records say Thomas is born in Mo. he is adopted mother born in Mo. and Father is born Ireland.
WW1 records gives full name as Thomas Hayden Lyng born 1879 in Mo.
Thomas has address of being in jail on this card in Princeton.
Emma left the afore mentioned children and one more, a baby, Joseph, at an orphanage about 1914-15. Victor passed away in White Hall childrens home at the age of 7 yrs.
Thomas left foster care or orphanage at time of legal age reportedly going West.
Joseph was raised by a family in Montgomery Co.
Emma gave birth to two more children in Spring Valley, Richard and Charles and they are with her in 1920. Husband no longer with family.
These children were also left at an orphanage at tender age and adopted.
Emma reportedly married a man by the name of Hill.
Can anyone fill in any information on either the LYNG or LINDQUIST puzzle?

My Great-grandfather was Peter Paul Junis, came over from Belgium in 1882 with his parents Constatinus (Thomas)and Steffia (Verbaut) Junis. Louise Junis died not knowing where her little baby, Louis Charles Junis was buried. My Grandmother is the only one left. I am her adopted daughter. I am one of 4 children left. She is in her 80's and has Cancer. I must find information on where Louis Charles Junis might be buried. The Junis family was prominent in their hayday. Peter Paul was not. They were also DEVOUT Catholics. If anyone has any info. or suggestions I would be thrilled to know.

My ggrandmother Lydia Aulix (Allix, Allex)born July 7, 1860, lived with a Peter Faber family after the death of her mother and father, whom I believe to be George and Catherine Allex. This is a story I found in her obituary. I found George & Catherine in the 1860 Clarion,Bureau Co. census and Catherine & family in the 1870 Clarion, Bureau Co. Census, Lydia with Peter Faber in the 1880 Mendota, LaSalle Co. census. Trying to find if the Faber family was related to the Aulex (Allex)family. I think Peter Faber was married to Margaret, in 1860 Clarion, Bureau Co. Census they had a Barbara ? living with them, and in 1870 they had an Eliza Aulix living with them. I have been searching for William Rollins for many years. Just since last December, I have found some informaton on him, but still do not know what happened to him after the 1870 Census. Some time between then and 1880, he passed away, but I do not know where. All I can find is that his and Nancy's son, Frank, my Ggrandfather, was living in Henry County by the time of the 1880 Census. With that, all I can presume is that he died during those ten years. How do I find information on someone who may or may not have died in Bureau County during that decade? I have found nothing on him. William went to Bureau County from New Hampshire, back in 1854, or 1855 as I have a deed to confirm that, but nothing further than William, Nancy, and their family, including a Frederick, Addy, and my Ggrandfather, Frank, living next door to them in Mineral in 1870. Please, can anyone give me any links, or any other assistance in order to find this information on William. I need to know when he died. Thank you so much for your time.

Good Morning, My name is Nathan W. Hale Jr. First let me say that your website is just wonderful! Myself and some other family members have been working on our family tree, we always get stump in Illinois. However I did find on page 73 my grandfather in your WWI listings (Joseph T. Hale) from Sheffield and it has my GGrandfathers name W. H. Hale which I am assuming is William Henry Hale Sr. However, once again stumped. I found a Stephen Hale in the biographical record of Bureau, Marshall and Putnam Cos. Illinois: pub in 1896. On that page you have a note that says if want Bio to contact you. I am hoping that you will be able to provide this and maybe just maybe this will give me a clue. Thank You so much!

My understanding is:

William Henry Hale Sr. married to Fredricka Rachel Rieder (?)

(children)
Joseph Theodore Hale (Sr) - Myrtle May Tesrow
William Henry Jr. Hale
Edward Hale
Susanna Hale
Martha Hale
Gertrude Hale

My Grandfather moved to Mn. and that is where most all of his kids were born.

I also found an Edward C. Hale in your History of Bureau County, Illinois 1885 book pg. 332 appointed as director (?) in 1860 but unsure if this may be one of my Great uncles
