Mrs. Arthur Anderson

New Bedford: - Mrs. Arthur E. (Katie) Young Anderson, 66, died Thursday at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, after several weeks of illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the New Bedford Christian Church. Visitation will be at the Howard Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius, will be Saturday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 2, 1903, on a farm near Tampico. She married Arthur Anderson in Princeton on April 3, 1919. They lived and farmed in the Princeton area for 14 years and then moved to New Bedford where they resided for the past 36 years. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary on March 30.

Survivors include five sons, Ronald V. and Richard A. Anderson, both of Taft, Calif.; William R. Anderson, Pekin; James W. Anderson, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Gail D. Anderson, West Covina, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. George (Jessie) Jacobson, Mrs. Julian (Nellie) Jacobson and Mrs. Ivan (Doris) Mahring; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the New Bedford Christian Church, the CWF and of World War II Mothers. A memorial has been established for the New Bedford Christian Church.

Note: She is buried Fairfield Cemetery.
