OBITUARY
Iva Arndt
ARNDT - Iva M. Arndt, 79, 1002 Prestwick Parkway
died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1986 in her home after a short illness.
Born June 12, 1907, in Princeton, daughter of Herbert and Maud [sic] Wilson.
Lived 54 years in Rockford, coming from Princeton.
Married Henry C. Arndt in Rockford, Dec. 31,
1932. Owner of House of Hallmark Gift Shop at North Towne shopping center
six years, retiring in 1967. Member Court Street United Methodist Church 40
years and chairman of several bazaars and parties; Rockford Woman's Club;
and Chapter 5, P. E. O Sisterhood.
Survivors include husband, Henry; two brothers,
Andrew Wilson, Peoria and Charles Wilson, Princeton; five sisters, Mrs.
Orpha Murphy and Mrs. Margaret Bowers, both Princeton, Mrs. Darlene Kavican,
Kent, Wash., Mrs. Bernice Nyberg and Mrs. Elaine Snow [sic] [Rollings], both
Peoria; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in
Court Street United Methodist Church chapel with the Rev. Dr. Donald Thomas,
the Rev. Dr. Harold McElvany and the Rev. Albert Wagner, pastor,
officiating. Private family graveside service Friday in Willwood Burial
Park. No visitation. Arrangements by Fred C. Olson Mortuary, 1002 2nd Ave.
Memorials to Wesley Willows, in lieu of flowers.
