OBITUARY
Gilbert Beams
Funeral services were held Saturday November 10
at the Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, for Gilbert G. Beams. Rev. C. Warren
Long, pastor at Willow Springs Mennonite church officiating.
Gilbert G. Beams the son of James K. and Nora
Wright Beams was born on November 23, 1910 in Hodgenville, Kentucky. At the
early age of 7 he came with his parents to Illinois. In 1934 he came to
Bureau County. He was married to Viola Albrecht of Kasbeer. They spent their
married life in the county. Their 27 years of farm life remains a pleasant
memory.
After a short illness, Gilbert passed away in
the People's Hospital in Peru. He had lived to be nearly 52 years of age. He
was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Edward. He is survived
by his wife and one son, Delmar and one granddaughter of Tiskilwa; also by
his father and stepmother of Harrisburg, Illinois and two brothers, Stanton
of Princeton and Blond of Hawaii.
Interment was in Mount Bloom cemetery. Casket
bearers were Ben Doll, Lester Cummins, Gilbert Johnson, Louis Olszanowski,
Gilbert Soedler and Aaron Anderson.
