OBITUARY

Peter Braida

LASALLE -- Peter J. Braida, 92, formerly of Spring Valley and for the past three years a resident of LaSalle Healthcare in LaSalle, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at the home.

Born March 6, 1912, in Spring Valley to Peter and Ann (Maheau) Braida, he married Flora Miglio Sept. 1, 1934, in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Spring Valley. She died April 30, 2004.

He was an operating engineer for Illinois Power Co. until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Spring Valley.

Survivors include two sisters, Lucy Bobbio of Spring Valley and Jennie Scheider of Inverness, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded by one brother and four sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Joseph Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
