Services Set For Roy S. Carlson

Walnut: - Funeral services for Roy S. Carlson, 69, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the First Christian Church, Walnut, with the Rev. Donald Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.

Roy S. Carlson was born March 17, 1896, the son of Samuel and Clara Nodine Carlson, and passed away Wednesday morning at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton. He spent most of his lifetime in Walnut. He was a veteran of World War I. He married Lila Nelson, Sept. 9, 1925 in Walnut.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Gail and James, both of Walnut; one daughter Mrs. Lloyd (Doris) Town, Wyanet; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Dale, Denver, Colo; five sisters, Mrs. Roy (Merle) Sims, Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Edward (Lourilee) Berrdinelli, Sante Fe, N. Mex; Mrs. Minnie Lange, Mrs. Milford (Verna) Hoffman, Mrs. Lloyd (Gladys) Dixon, all of Walnut. He was preceded by his parents.

A memorial to the First Christian church has been established.
