FREDA J. (Dobbs) COLE - 71, of 216 S. 2nd Street, Walnut, died unexpectedly in her home Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Allen-Garland Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Gebhart, pastor, First Christian Church of Walnut officiating. The body will then be taken to Orchard, Iowa, where graveside services will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Orchard Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Brown officiating. Friends may call in the Allen-Garland Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the hour of service. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Mrs. Cole was born June 3, 1911 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Nathan and Addie Keen Dobbs. She was united in marriage to Ceylon Cole in 1929 in Charles City, and he preceded her in death in February of 1961.

Mrs. Cole is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Bernard (Sandra) Wagner of Osage, Iowa, five sons: Gene of San Angelo, Texas, Larry of Chicago, Terry of Fairfield, Calif., Garry of Colfax, Ill., and Jerry of Murphysboro, Ill. Thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Five brothers: Orville of Detroit, Paul and Homer Dobbs of Charles City, Iowa, and Clarence and Ralph Dobbs of Minneapolis, Minn. Several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband and four brothers.
