OBITUARY
Florence Davis
SPRING VALLEY -- Florence Marie Davis, 84, of
900 Bern St., Spring Valley, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at her
home.
Born Aug. 8, 1919, in LaSalle to William and
Florence (Casserly) Baima, she married Jesse L. Davis July 28, 1971. He
survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the Illinois
Valley. She was a former teacher and owned and operated Flossie's Place on
Third Street in LaSalle, formerly Baima's Tavern. She retired from Graphic
Electronics in Spring Valley.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church
in Spring Valley.
Also surviving are one daughter, Deborah (Don)
Maurer of Spring Valley; three sons, Terry McCullough of Ladd, Jeff Davis of
Texas and Jay Davis of Spring Valley; two brothers, Robert (Cathy) Baima of
Ladd and Melvin Baima of Peru; one sister, Patricia Winter of Missouri;
eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and one
brother.
A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. today,
Thursday, in St. Anthony Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Joe Hogan
officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be directed to St. Margaret's
Hospice.
The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is in charge of
