FRANCIS "Red" GUGERTY
Walnut: - Francis "Red" Gugerty, 84 of 403
Meltzer St. in Walnut, died Thursday morning at Perry Memorial Hospital in
Princeton. Funeral prayer services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Garland
Funeral Home in Walnut, followed by a 10;30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in
St. John's Catholic Church in Walnut, with Rev. William Harabert
officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be
Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Rosary recited at 8. A memorial has been
established in his memory to the donor's choice.
Mr. Gugerty was born on Nov. 16, 1902 in Ohio
Township, the son of Thomas and Mary O'Hare Gugerty. On June 29, 1926 he was
united in marriage to Bess Bolbock in Peoria. He had farmed in the Walnut
and Ohio areas throughout his life and was a member of St. John's Catholic
Church of Walnut.
Survivors include his wife, Bess of Walnut; five
grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Barney (Margaret)
Keen of Ohio; and two brothers, Nate and Thomas, both of Walnut.
He was preceded in death by one son and three
