John Russell Gustafson, son of Carl and Florence (Griffin) Gustafson, was born March 30, 1917, near Princeton, Ill., in Arispie township and departed this life May 6, 1919, aged 2 years, 1 month and 6 days.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, conducted by Rev. C. C. Carpenter, and the burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Little Russell was loved by all who knew him on account of his sweet smile and cheering disposition. We are indebted to the will of God for He hath given and hath taken away, and has also comforted us by saying: "Suffer little children to come unto Me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."

We can rest assured that little Russell is asleep in the arms of Jesus. The loved ones he has left are his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gustafson and one brother, Floyd; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Griffin, of Newago, Mich., and August Gustafson, Sr., of Tiskilwa, Ill., beside many other relatives and friends. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
