Nels Hansen Dies Suddenly At home
Walnut: - Nels Hansen, 71, died suddenly at
7:30 p.m. Monday from a heart attack at his home, four miles southeast of
Walnut, on the Rolla Hensel farm. He was born May 21, 1881, in Copenhagen,
Denmark, and came to the United States in 1901. He has been employed by Mr.
Hensel for the past 18 years and shared his home with Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Merdian. He was married twice. Both of his wives preceded him in death.
Survivors include one stepson, Peter Buckwald of
Princeton; one niece, Mrs. Martin Burden of Ohio; and brothers and sisters
in Denmark. Last rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ross Funeral
home, Walnut. The Rev. Hollis Wharton, pastor of the Methodist church, will
conduct the services. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery,
Princeton. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
