Moline: - Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Hardesty, 49, 2415 48th St., Moline, died Saturday morning at Moline Lutheran Hospital, Moline. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Allen-Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rev. William Hargart of St. John's Catholic Church, Walnut, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford. Friends may call at the Allen-Garland Funeral Home in Walnut on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Elizabeth Hardesty was born on June 7, 1933 in Kewanee, the daughter of Harry and Florence Verhagen Cathelyn. She was united in marriage to LaVerne N. Hardesty on Nov. 28, 1953 in Sheffield. They lived in Walnut for many years and 17 years ago they moved to Moline. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Mothers' Club.

Surviving are her husband, LaVerne, her mother, Mrs. Florence Cathelyn, Sheffield, one son, LaVerne Jr., Moline, one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Hardesty, Walnut. She was preceded in death by her father, one son, William and one brother.
