Walnut: - Leota Quilter Jensen was born February 17, 1895, at Walnut, Ill., and was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Quilter of this community. She died January, 1924 at Princeton Hospital. She attended the public schools and grew to womanhood here. She resided with her parents, until about seven years ago, when she was united in marriage to Mr. Lars W. Jensen, of Sheffield. Since then she has resided in Sheffield, where she made many friends, to whom her death came as a shock and caused great sorrow. She was baptized in the Baptist church of Walnut, of which she was a member at the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death, a husband, father, mother, and three sisters: Katherine, Virginia, Margaret, and six brothers, Fay, Dean, Herbert, Ward, Beryl and Bertram, and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 22, 1924, from her late home in the Congregational church in Sheffield. The pallbearers were four of the departed one's brothers, the two other brothers being unable to attend and two brothers of her husbands. Many of Leota's Walnut friends paid tribute to her memory by attending the last sad rites.
