Katrina Johnson

Mrs. Karina Johnson of Princeton, widow of the late Otto Johnson, passed away Saturday, January 19th at the home of her step-son, John T. Johnson, of 109 North Knox street.

Katrina Thompson was born September 13, 1825 in the Province of Schlosweg, Germany, and was 92 years old at the time of her death.

In 1965, Miss Thompson was married to Hans Peter Asmussen. Three children were born to this union, two having passed away at an early age. Mr. and Mrs. Asmussen came to Princeton in 1883, where one year later, Mr. Asmussen passed away. Mrs. Asmussen was united in marriage to Otto Johnson, and made their home on a farm near Walnut, until 1903 when they moved to Princeton.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son, Peter Asmussen of Mikana, Wis., a step-son, John T. Johnson, of Princeton, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Christine Brune, of Walnut.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, January 22, from the late residence, with interment at Oakland cemetery.

Among the relatives from out of town who attended the obsequies were Mr. and Mrs. Brune, of Walnut.
