INA B. (Peterson) KEIGWIN
Walnut: - Mrs.Ina B. Keigwin, 68, RFD 1, Walnut, died Saturday evening in
Community General Hospital, Sterling, following a long illness. Funeral
services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Walnut United Methodist
Church with Rev. Forrest Hergert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the
Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
the Allen-Garland Funeral Home, and the body will be taken to the church at
11 a.m. Tuesday to lie in state until the funeral hour. A memorial has been
established to the Walnut United Methodist Church.
Ina Keigwin was born on Sept. 6, 1914 in Rock Falls, the daughter of Harry
and Johanna Nelson Peterson. She moved into the Walnut community at the age
of 10. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1932 and from the Kewanee
Public Hospital School of Nursing in 1936. Her professional career included
institutional, educational and industrial positions. On Aug. 12, 1941 she
was united in marriage to Charles Keigwin.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Natalie) Eustice,
LaSalle; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Glen (Enid) Eickmeier,
Princeton; and four brothers, John Peterson, Herny; Harry Peterson, Bureau;
Donald Peterson, Sterling; and Kenneth Peterson, Amboy.
