Donald F. Ladenburger
PRINCETON -- Donald F. Ladenburger, 83, of 510
E. Farnham, Princeton, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at his home.
Born Dec. 10, 1920, in West Brooklyn to Henry
and Eva (Willard) Ladenburger, he married Darleen Gruben in August 1952. She
survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 142 to
February 1946. He served two years in a light tank battalion and 17 months
in an amphibian tank battalion. He was employed by L.J. Stephenitch, Fasco
Mills, Black Bros., Motor Wheel Corp. and was a custodian for Mendota Grade
School and the Peru Mall before retiring in 1985.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl
(Lowell) Christiansen of Princeton and Mary (Dean) Schallhorn of LaMoille;
one brother, Raymond (Lucille) Ladenburger of Mendota; four grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one
brother and an infant sister.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Dell Olson officiating. Burial
will be in Restland Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post 4079.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday
in the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
