Matthew Lerch

Princeton -- Matthew A. Lerch, 68, of 713 N. Chestnut St., died early today in Perry Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Norberg Memorial Home with the Rev. Phillip Eckhoff officiating. Burial will be in Elm lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation in the memorial home will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Nov. 9, 1897 in Arlington. He married Cora Wilson on Sept. 10, 1921.

He farmed in the Malden area until 1962, when he retired and moved to Princeton.

He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Malden Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the Princeton Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Binggele of Adrian, Mich., Mrs. William Clark of Van Orin, Mrs. Herman Groden of Mendota and Mrs. Louise Nickel of Cherry; one brother, Jack Lerch of Arlington.
