Herbert Lesh

Herbert, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira H. Lesh, died at their home in Philadelphia, Saturday, January 26, 1918, following an attack of pneumonia and meningitis. It was thought that he had passed the crisis and was out of danger when the end came suddenly.

The young man had been an engineer in mines in Peru, South America and came home to enlist. He had joined the Balloon Corps and was waiting his call to Omaha to enter service when he was stricken with the fatal malady.

The friends of the family, formerly residents of Buda, where the son was born thirty-two years ago, sympathize with the bereaved parents in the sorrow that is almost crushing them.
