OBITUARY
John Marine
John Marine died at his home on West Putnam
Street, in the city last Saturday morning at 12:30 a.m. He was born in
Sweden Sept. 3, 1826, arrived in Princeton directly from Sweden in 1870. He
was at the time of his death seventy nine years old, four months, and
seventeen days. He had been sick about two years, during which time his two
daughters have faithfully and tenderly cared for him. He had given his heart
to Christ during his healthy days and he was his refuge until the last. Now
he is at rest with his Friend and Saviour. Mourning his departure are his
three children, two daughters and one son, one sister, other relatives and
many friends. The funeral service was held his home last Tuesday at 2
o'clock, Rev. C. J. Ledin of the Swedish Mission church officiated. The
remains were buried in the family lot at Oakland Cemetery.
