OBITUARY
Harry W. May
Princeton: - Henry W. May, 84, Rt. 3,
Princeton, died Monday in Perry Memorial Hospital. Services will be 1:30
p.m. Wednesday at the Norbert Memorial Home in Princeton with Rev. Dennis
Carr officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and one half hour before the
service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Heart
Fund or the donor's choice.
Mr. May was born Feb. 8, 1905 in Bureau County,
the son of Charles and Caroline Hassler May. He married Gladys Stuepfert on
March 7, 1928. She died on Oct. 14, 1971. He then married Mary DeVine Jensen
on Dec. 30, 1973 and she survives. Mr. May farmed in Bureau Co. all his life
and was a cattle feeder for many years. He also held threshing
demonstrations on his farm for a number of years. He was a member of Flying
Farmers, the Elks Lodge and the Bureau Co. Farm Bureau.
He is survived by two sons, Harry J. and Donald
O. May of Princeton; two brothers, Marvin of Princeton and Melvin of
Enterprise, Ala.; nine stepsons, William, Robert, John, James, Gary, Greg,
Larry, Thomas, and Steven Jensen; seven grandchildren; 18
step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Eugene; two
brothers, two daughters-in-law, one stepson, and one step-granddaughter.
