MARY ANN (Thompson) McGONIGLE - 53, 310 S.
Main St., Walnut, died Tuesday morning in Perry Memorial Hospital,
Princeton. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Allen-Garland
Funeral home, Walnut, with the Rev. Harold Burkey, pator of the Princeton
Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with
the family present during the evening hours. A memorial has been established
to the Walnut Rescue Unit.
Mrs. McGonigle was born Nov. 23 1928 in Kasbeer,
the daughter of Harry and Gladys Mercer Thompson. She was married to Wilson
Sterling McGonigle, Nov. 23, 1946 in Dixon. He preceded her in death on June
26. She was employed by Harper-Wyman Company in Princeton for 15 years until
her retirement four years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Harry N. and John
M., both of Walnut; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary Jean) Troxell, Walnut; her
mother, five grandchildren, three brothers, Jean, Exeter, Calif.; Bill,
Normandy; and Elmer, Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by her father
and her husband.
