Wilda Nordstrom

PRINCETON -- Wilda Arvesta Nordstrom, 98, formerly of Buda, died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Colonial Hall Center in Princeton.

Born June 15, 1906, in Bureau to Wilber and Mary (Wade) Ireland, she married Carl W. Nordstrom Feb. 17, 1935. He died March 9, 1973.

She was a member of the Buda Congregational Church, Beckwith Guild and Home Extension. She also was a charter member of Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include one son, Wilbur (Kama) Nordstrom of Princeton; one daughter, Marcella (Ralph) Anderson of Wyanet; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, who died in infancy in 1897; and six sisters, Grace Wabel, Eva Ruberg, Lola Charles, Lottie Ireland, Verna Roberson and Dollena Dawson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Hopeland Cemetery, Buda.

Visitation will be one hour before the services in the funeral home.
