Mrs. John Nottingham widow of the last John Nottingham died Sunday, Sept. 9th at the home of her son James Nottingham in Dover township. The funeral services conducted by Rev. Horn, were held on Monday, interment taking place in Dover cemetery. Ann Hubbard was born in Harvele Down, County Kent, England, in 1818 and was over eighty eight years old at the time of her death. She came with her parents to America in 1834 and located at Albany New York. On August 1, 1835, she was united in marriage with John Nottingham. To this union twelve children were born, six of who are living and were at her funeral, four sons and two daughters. They are James, Edward, John and Joseph Nottingham, Mrs. Storms and Mrs. Devore, all residing in the vicinity except Edward, who lives in Davenport. The family came to Bureau county in the fall of 1832. Her husband died in 1884. Mrs. Nottingham is survived by her six children, thirty grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
