OBITUARY

 

MRS. CATHERINE O達YRNE PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Catherine O達yrne, 82 year old Spring Valley resident died at 12:50 am Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Dan Pohl, 226 ス East St. Paul St. following and extended illness.

Mrs. O達yrne was born in Ireland August 15, 1864, a daughter of the late James and Johanna Brown Carr. She came to the United States at the age of 13 and resided in LaSalle for some time. On Feb 6, 1890 she married Andrew O達yrne who died in 1906.

The family home was at 120 East Devlin Street but for the past several years Mrs. O達yrne resided with her daughter, Mrs. Pohl.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Emil (Josephine) Mackiney, Chicago; Mrs. Theodore (Marie) DeSerf and Mrs. Dan (Theresa) Pohl, Spring Valley: Mrs. Dan (Abbie) Corsoline, Aurora: Mrs. Catherine Pigatti, Chicago. One brother the Rev. M. J. Carr also survives. There are 14 grandchildren and 17 great children.

Mrs. O達yrne was a member of the St. Rose of Lima court, COF and also a member of the Immaculate Conception church.

The funeral was held at 8:30 am Wednesday from the Keegan funeral home. A requiem high mass was said in the Immaculate Conception church at 9 o団lock and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Pallbearers were C.N. Hollerick, Peter Hollerich, William J. Wimbiscus, Ed J. Coveny, Arthur Klingberg and Paul Perona.
