Elizabeth O'Connor

Mrs. James O'Connor, a highly respected resident of Spring Valley, passed away Thursday at 10:30 p.m. at St. Margaret's hospital, where she underwent an operation Wednesday morning for gall stones and appendicitis. Mrs. O'Connor had been ailing for the past four years.

Her husband was in Danville on business and did not reach home until Friday morning.

Elizabeth Duggan was born in Wisha, Scotland, August 7, 1862, and came to this country with her parents. On April 22, 1878, she was married to James O'Connor at What Cheer, Ia. To this union six children were born, all of whom survive. In 1888 they moved to Spring Valley, where Mrs. O'Connor leaves to mourn their loss, her husband and four sons, Dan and John of Cherry, Henry of Minonk, and James of Spring Valley, and two daughters, Mary and Mrs. Kate Savio, of Spring Valley.

The funeral was held at nine o'clock Monday morning from the Immaculate Conception Church, where Requiem High Mass was held. Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
