OBITUARY
George W. Parlier Dies Saturday
Walnut: - George W. Parlier, 83, died Saturday at Community General Hospital
at Sterling where he had been a patient for several days. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Ross Funeral home with Rev. William
Lynch of the Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.
Friends may visit Monday evening at the funeral home.
George W. Parlier was born June 15, 1888 at Bethany, the son of Allen W. and
Alice Weeks Parlier. He married Marie Balla of Bureau in 1917. He was a
truck gardener and had done landscaping and tree trimming before retiring.
He played with a Buffalo Bill Circus band in his early years.
Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Starks, Sterling,
and Mrs. Melvin (Marilyn) White, Bureau; one son, Milfred, Peoria; six
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
