Alberta Peach, 73 of Princeton Dies Saturday

Alberta Peach, 73, 1202 Linda Drive, Princeton, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Alberta Peach was born on September 2, 1931 in Princeton, the daughter of Carl and Florence (Griffin) Gustafson. She was united in marriage to Lyle Peach on September 23, 1950 at the Christian Church Parsonage in Walnut. She worked at Harper Wyman in Princeton for 29 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Walnut and enjoyed cross stitching and crafts. She also enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Peach of Princeton; one daughter Nela (Michael) Reagan of Apple Valley, CA; three sons, Les (Mary) Peach of Montgomery, Ronald (Danette) Peach of Godfrey, Gary (Becky) Peach of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Curtis of Claremore, OK, Betty Christensen of Front Royal, VA; one brother, Carl (Virginia) Gustafson of Sterling; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister.

Cremation rites were accorded. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rev. Robert E. Smith, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Walnut Cemetery. A time of celebration will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.

A memorial has been established in her memory to the First Christian Church of Walnut and the Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation.
