GILBERT N. PIERSON
Gilbert N. Pierson Succumbs Friday
Gilbert N. Pierson, 52, rural Sheffield, died at
his home north of Manlius Friday. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2
p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at Manlius with the Rev. Denby Cain
officiating. Burial will be at Manlius Cemetery. Friends may visit
from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius. Masonic
services will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A memorial has
been established in his name.
Gilbert N. Pierson was born Jan. 2, 1919 at
Prophetstown, the son of Bert and Maude Black Pierson. He married Lois
Larson Aug. 2, 1951 at Buda. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church,
Manlius, Master of Manlius AF and AM Lodge and a member of Eastern Star Wild
Rose Chapter of Manlius.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters,
Kathryn Lynn, Patti Ann and Sandra Kay, all at home; one brother, Lester,
Rock Falls; one half brother, Lloyd Sandrock, Pekin; two sisters, Mrs.
George (Viva) Alund, Bensonville and Mrs. Delbert (Vera) Edlefson, Wyanet.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
