Mrs. Mildred Powell Succumbs Today

Polo: - Mrs. Mildred Marie Powell, 48, rural Polo, died at 4 a.m. today (Monday) in University Hospital, Madison, Wis., following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, in Brown-Seidel Funeral Home, with the Rev. A. J. Tetzlaff of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Powell was born April 18, 1922, in Bureau Co., the daughter of Michael and Nettie Bell Grant. She married Clifford G. Powell, Jr., July 5, 1947.

Survivors are her husband, one son, Harry, Sterling, one daughter, Mrs. William (Margaret) Saltow, Polo; five brothers, Harold, Lanark; Orville, Dixon; Joseph, Utah; Mark, Sterling; Everett, Polo; one sister, Mrs. Scranton (Geneva) Bennett, Rock Falls; three grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, one son Randy; one brother, Earl.
