Funeral Of Fay L. Quilter Sunday
Walnut: - Funeral services for Fay L.
Quilter, 82, formerly of Walnut who died Thursday in Boynton Beach, Fla.,
will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ross Funeral Home. The Rev. James O.
Davis, pastor of the Walnut United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial
will be in the Walnut Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the
Walnut Manor Nursing Home. There will be no visitation.
Fay L. Quilter was born Dec. 31, 1891 in Walnut,
the son of Joseph and Kathryn Landers Quilter. He was united in marriage
with Beva Heaton of Walnut in 1930 and was a retired mail carrier. Mr.
Quilter served in the US Navy during World War One and at one time was mayor
of the Village of Walnut.
Surviving with Mrs. Quilter are three brothers
and three sisters, Ward of Pensacola, Fla., Herbert of Ohio, Ill., Beryl of
Walnut, Mrs. Margaret Britt of Sterling, Mrs. Virginia James of Burbank,
Calif., and Mrs. Kathryn Eggebrecht of Princeton. He was preceded in death
by three brothers and two sisters.
