FRIEDA A. (Homra) RASHID - 88, of Manlius, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Sheffield, with Father Jeff Windy, officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius. A memorial has been established to St. Patrick Catholic Church and Manlius Rescue Unit.

Mrs. Rashid was born Jan. 12, 1911, in Fulton, Ky., the daughter of Asbir and Adeeba Homra. She married John Joseph Rashid on Oct. 25, 1939 in Fulton, Ky. He died Sept. 21, 1994. She was a homemaker who loved to read and cook. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sheffield, Manlius Women's Club and Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include a son, James Rashid of Manlius; two daughters, Jacqueline Carroll of Manlius and Patricia Jaeger of LaSalle; a brother, Fred (Margaret) Homra of Fulton, Ky.; three sisters, Victoria Hombra of Memphis, Tenn., Adeline Hombra of Dallas and Lilian (Robert) Naifeh of Norman, Okla.; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Foad Homra.
