FRANKLIN GROVE -- Eva Marie Rogers, 94, formerly
of Ohio, Ill., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Franklin Grove Heath Care
Center in Franklin Grove.
Born Dec. 9, 1909, in Harmon to Harry and Hazel
(Kelley) Willstead, she married Howard Rogers Sept. 15, 1928, in Dixon. He
died Sept. 2, 1992.
She worked at the Green River Ordinance Plant in
Amboy during World War II, was involved in farming until 1957 and operated
Rogers Hunting Club in Ohio, Ill., from 1957 to 1975.
She was a member of the Ohio United Methodist
Church and the Ohio Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons, Charles (Shirley)
Rogers Sr. of Dixon, Don (Joyce) Rogers Sr. of Oregon, Ill., and Roy (Roxie)
Rogers Sr. of Ohio, Ill.; one daughter, Ila Mae (Ken) Sieberns of Dixon; one
daughter-in-law, Wilma Rogers of Dixon; 16 grandchildren; 27
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces
She also was preceded in death by her parents;
one son, Howard Jr.; and three brothers, Robert, Sterling and Neil Willstead.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ohio
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pearle Lange officiating. Burial will
be in Union Cemetery in Ohio, Ill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the
Garland Funeral Home, Walnut.
