KAY MARLENE BLANCHE RUMBOLD

Funeral Services Held For Kay Rumbold

Manlius: - Funeral services for Kay Marlene Blanche Rumbold were held in the Trinity Lutheran church Friday morning, Nov. 14, at 10, with the pastor, Rev. Robert Engen, presiding.

Pallbearers were Lewis Reed, William Lickart, Harry Oloffson, Robert Harts, Larry Hurst and William Martin. Organ music was played during the service by Mrs. Virgil Hurst. Burial was in the Manlius Cemetery.

Kay, daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Rumbold, was born in Peoria March 5, 1936. She was reared in Edelstein, and was graduated from Edelstein grade schoool in 1950. After her graduation she moved to Rock Falls with her parents. While residing there she attended the first semester of Rock Falls High School, and moved to Manlius with her parents in January, 1951.

Although a member of the Congregational church of Edelstein, she was active in the Trinity Lutheran church of Manlius, being a faithful member of the Sunday school, where she served as assistant treasurer. She was also an active member of the Luther League and church choir. In high school, Kay was a member of FHA, chorus and band, and a past president of 4-H club.

She is survived by her parents, two sisters, Judith and Bonnie Sue and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bessler of Peoria.
