Gus Schrader, Walnut Dies, Funeral Services Will Be Wednesday

Walnut: - Gus Schrader, 79, Walnut, died Sunday afternoon at the Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, where he had been a patient since Saturday morning. He had been ill for several months.

The body was brought to the Ross Funeral Home where friends may call this evening 7 to 9. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., the Rev. Ernest Cummings, pastor of the Walnut Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with funds to be given to the Cancer Research Foundation.

Mr. Schrader was born June 19, 1881 near Hollowayville, the son of John and Minnie Schrader. He came to Walnut with his parents when he was a child and had lived here since that time. He was married to Hadra Bohler of Walnut on Feb. 23, 1924. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith.

Survivors are his widow, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Lange, Walnut; four brothers, Leonard, Fort Madison, Iowa; William, Adolph, and George all of Walnut.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, John, Henry, Fred and Charles.
