Roger Simon

PRINCETON -- Roger H. Simon, 88, of 15571 1850 East St., Princeton, died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born Feb. 6, 1916, in Princeton to August and Anna (Johnson) Simon, he married Doris Dremann Sept. 15, 1940. She died Oct. 14, 1981. He later married Lois Christiansen Nov. 20, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.

He farmed in the Princeton Township, Bureau County, all his working life. He was a member of Princeton Elks Lodge 1461 and Princeton Moose Lodge 1339.

Also surviving are one daughter, Marie (Steven) Bishop of Peoria; and two sisters, Doris (Robert) Gutshall of Tiskilwa and Irene Simon of Princeton.

He also was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Frances Morse.

Services were held Wednesday in the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Jon Olinger officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

Visitation was held Tuesday in the funeral home.
