Donald Slutz

LAMOILLE--Donald W. Slutz, 75, of 102 W. Hopps, LaMoille died Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995, in St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.

Born Sept. 25, 1920, in Walnut to Wayne and Jennie (Park) Slutz, he married Lois Bauer Aug. 1, 1933, in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (Clarion), LaMoille. She survives.

He owned and operated a feeder pig operation in the Bradford and Tiskilwa area and was also engaged in farming before his retirement. He served on the LaMoille Town board for a number of years.

He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (Clarion), LaMoille, a former member of the church council and a life-long member of the Bureau County Agricultural Fair Association.

Also surviving are one son, Thomas of LaMoille, one daughter, Barbara Hintzsche of Rochelle; three sisters, Marjorie Fiihr of Denver, Colo., Virginia Morrison of Wausau, Wis., and Margaret Glenn of Princeton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
