WILLIAM O. STOWE
William O. Stowe Of Walnut Dies Thursday
Walnut: - William O. Stowe, 78, died Thursday at 9 p.m. at the home of his
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Volmer Haurberg, of Walnut. The body
was removed to the Boose Funeral Home in Henry, Ill., where funeral
arrangements are being completed. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery.
He lived in the Lone Tree community, south of Tiskilwa, before coming to
Walnut seven years ago due to the ill health of him and his wife.
Survivors are his widow, five sons, Ivan and Vernard Stowe, DePue; Lory and
Elvin, Tiskilwa; Clyde, Long View, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Volmer
Haurberg, Walnut; Mrs. Lawrence Hawse, Wenona; Mrs. Norman Severson;
Streator; Mrs. Herchel McLaren, Henry; 20 grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.
One daughter, Mrs. Ben Forrest, preceded him death.
