Alden C. Swanson Succumbs At Work

Manlius: - Alden C. Swanson, 60, Sheffield, died Friday while at work as a mechanic at Whipple's Garage, Buda.

Private family services for relatives will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Howard Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Denby Cain officiating. Burial will be in the Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday evening at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.

Alden C. Swanson as born Oct. 21, 1912, at New Bedford, the son of Frank and Edith Johnson Swanson. He married Ruth Hoffman in 1935, at Morrison.

Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Carol (Vannie) McVey, Walnut, and Mrs. Robert (Beth) Rudiger, Manlius, and one son Gene, Sterling, five grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters. His parents preceded him in death.
