Walnut: - Ellis D. Teach, 67, former resident of Walnut and now of Sandwich, died at 10:30 a.m. at the Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Burkhardt Funeral Home in Sandwich, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Yorkville.

Ellis D. Teach was born July 29, 1898, in Walnut, the son of Kemp and Milly Fisher Peach. He was married to Mamie Denman of Plano, May 15, 1923. They made their home in the Sandwich community for the past 49 years. He was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges.

He is survived by his wife and a foster daughter, Mrs. Leonard Sappla, Sandwich; one brother, Howard, and two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Vera) Sample and Mrs. Harry (Nellie) Magnuson, all of Walnut.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Jacob, Wesley, Glen, Wilbur and Floyd, and one sister, Mrs. Glen (Janie) Hopkins.
