Ohio: - Muriel J. Thomas, 85, of 301 W. Church St., Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at her home. She was employed by Sears & Roebuck, Chicago, and then by Dixon State School until her retirement.

Mrs. Thomas was born May 3, 1915, in Chicago, the daughter of George B. and Marie Jeanette (Clark) Andeway. She married Charles Thomas on Dec. 18, 1948, in Chicago. He died July 20, 1967. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Ohio, and the OCCW of the church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Gayle) Thomas and Richard Thomas, both of Ohio; three daughters, Shirlee Kane of Wheaton, Marjorie (Gary) Christensen and Kathleen Thomas, both of Ohio; a brother George (Anne) Andeway of Chicago; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and son, nieces and nephews.

Mass of trhe Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, Ohio, with the Rev. Binh K. Tran, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ohio. Visitation at the Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, 5-8 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A memorial has been established.
