VIOLET L. (Wallace) WALKER
Rock Falls: - Violet L. Walker, 76, formerly
of 1206 13th Ave., Rock Falls, died early Thursday morning in the Rock Falls
Manor, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday
morning at 10:30 at the First Christian Church of Rock Falls with Rev. David
L. Beebe, the pastor, officiating, with burial in Walnut Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home in Rock Falls today
from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory to the
First Christian Church of Rock Falls.
Mrs. Walker was born on August 23, 1911 in
Hazelton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles L. and Bertha A. Whipple Wallace.
She had been employed in the office of RB&W Co in Rock Falls for 47 years,
retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Rock
She is survived by one son, Leland Walker of
Muskego, Wis.; one grandson, Joshua Walker of Athens, Ga.; one niece, Mrs.
DeWayne (Dolores) Wiemken of Sterling; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
sister Florence Van Dusen in 1969, and one nephew, Donald Smith in 1979.
