Caryl Wedding to be buried March 8 in Walnut

Mrs. Caryl M. Wedding, age 86, of 18467 40th Place N.E., Seattle, Washington, died on February 26 in Seattle.

Mrs. Weddings' body was cremated and graveside funeral services will be conducted on March 8th at 1 p.m. in the Walnut Cemetery, with Rev. John Altherton, pastor of Walnut United Methodist Church officiating. A time of sharing will be held at Verna Evers home at 211 E. Walnut Street, in Walnut from 2 - 5 p.m. after the graveside services on Tuesday. The Garland Funeral Home in Walnut was in charge of local arrangements. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Walnut Library.
Mrs. Wedding was born on July 14, 1901 in Walnut, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob and Rosa Fais Meisenheimer. She was united in marriage to Elmer Wedding on October 12, 1927, in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in September of 1973. She was a school teacher throughout most of her lifetime. She taught in grade schools, country schools, and tutored many children in the Walnut area.

Survivors include, one daughter, Mrs. Kay W. Major of Seattle, Washington, one son, Brent of Corning, New York, and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
