Fred Wetjen Rites Will Be Thursday

Walnut: - Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut for Fred Wetjen, 57, who died Monday morning at Lakewood, Ohio, following a serious illness of the past two weeks. the Rev. E. V. Halock, pastor of the Walnut Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ross Funeral Home.

Mr. Wetjen was born Nov. 15, 1899 at Jersey City, N.J., the son of John and Louise Wershey Wetjen. He was married to Blanch Wallis of Walnut on March 29, 1936. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the Coast Guard.

Surviving is his widow. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
