Mary Wiley

Mrs. Mary Wiley, of the village of Van Orin, Illinois, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., May 12, 1852, and died January 27, 1918, aged 65 years, 8 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Moltimore Wiley on December 24, 1878, to which union five children were born, Mrs. Anna Treday, of Ohio state, Mrs. Frank McCray of LaMoille, Mrs. Walter Guthrie of Van Orin, Lawrence J. Wiley, who runs a general store in Van Orin, and Miss Helen, at home, who has so tenderly cared for her mother during her affliction.

The husband and children have the heartfelt sympathy of their many neighbors and friends. The country roads were drifted with snow, but many of the friends attended the funeral and the beautiful floral offerings speak volumes of the high esteem in which she was held.

Funeral services were held January 29 at 2 p.m. at the East Side church, conducted by the pastor, D. B. Allen, assisted by Rev. Kerr.
