Charles A. "Bub" Wilson, 78 of 1001 W. Farnam St., died at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, at Perry Memorial Hospital.

Born June 3, 1917, near Kasbeer to Herbert E. and Maude Wedding Wilson, he married Lorene Renee Miller on Dec. 26, 1953, in Monmouth. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, John H. of Phoenix; three sisters, Orpha L. Murphy of Princeton, Darlene Kavican of Kent, Wash., and Bernice Nyberg of Peoria; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a heavy-equipment operator in pipeline construction for many years. He owned and operated Wilson Mobile Home Park, now known as Grove Mobile Home Park, from 1964 until retiring in 1983.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of the Seabees, Elks Lodge 1461 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4323.

Private graveside services will be at Elm Lawn Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jon Olinger will officiate. Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
