Mrs. Louisa Zarr, 90, Dies On Wednesday At Daughter's Home

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Louisa Zarr, 90, passed away Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Toppert, where she had resided since March, 1937.

The body was removed to the Helm and Helm Funeral Home where friends may call. At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, funeral services will be held at the Leon Methodist Church with the Rev. Hollis Wharton, pastor of the Walnut Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery.

Louisa Nienaber was born Jan. 1, 1863, in Princeton, the daughter of Herman and Mary Klinkhamer Nienaber. She received her education in the Princeton schools. On Feb. 2, 1887, she was married to Wallace Zarr of Wyanet. The couple moved to Prophetstown in March of 1895. In 1903 they purchased the farm which was their home for 30 years. She was a member of the Leon Methodist Church and of the Woman's Society of Christian Service.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Effie) Toppert; one son, Harry, both of Prophetstown; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1932, one daughter, Mrs. Will (Dora) Yonk in January 1927.
