The only
person identified in this picture is the girl with "Bertie" written across
her skirt. She is Bertha Louella MONROE, daughter of Ransom MONROE and
Mahala Diana STANTON, born June 12, 1869 in Buda, IL.

Note: In 1956, Buda High School
was later called Western High School when the Sheffield School District was
incorporated into it. This lasted until 1995 when Western, Walnut, Wyanet,
Manlius and Sheffield consolidated into the Bureau Valley School District.
The old Buda High School is now used for the Bureau Valley South (Middle)
school. |
