Illinois Ancestors Tombstone Project fulton dobbins

Dobbins Cemetery is located in Vermont Township in the northwest quarter of Section 1. Go west on Route 136 past Ipava about 1.5 miles. Then you'll see Dobbins Road (1150N) on the right. Follow it as it winds to the north. The cemetery is on the right side of the road.

Note: According to local historians, there were several World War II German prisoners of war (from Camp Ellis) buried here with full German military honors. Per info provided by Mike Worman, these four soldiers were re-interred to the Fort Sheridan cemetery near Chicago. Their names were Egon J. Kranz, Richard Barthel, Kurt Roessger, and Heinrich Bauer.
