The George and James Burnett stones: George (b. 1830)and James (b. 1835) were sons of William and Sarrah Ann Poling Burnett. William was born 1801, in Tyrone County, Ireland; came to America at age 18 and settled in W. VA. In Clarksburg, W. Va. on 31 December 1823, he married Sarrah Ann Poling, who was born in 1802, in Va. Her mother's name was Elizabeth ?; father, ?. William's parents, ?

In addition to George and James, William and Sarrah Ann had children Rachel; Elizabeth (b. 1825); John (b. 1828); Margaret Jane; Sarah Ann; Martha; William; Mary; Martin; and Anneta (Nettie). Sarah Ann married Benjamin Franklin Sampson, and they are my Great Grandparents.

William Burnett died in 1862 and his wife Sarrah Ann Poling Burnett died in 1859, in Fulton County, IL. They are buried in Lyons Cemetery.

            Son John F. Burnett married, 08/28/1879, Peoria County, IL. to PRATT, Eliza J.   They had 4 children. Eliza died 1888.
            Dau Eliza Burnett married, 02/01/1877, Fulton Co., IL. RIST, Henry; Eliza died 1880.
            Dau Mary C. died at age 17
            Dau Clymena P or R., married 12/18/1883, Fulton Co., IL. GOURLEY, Joseph T.; one daughter Blanche P.

James married on (1) 3 Sept.1858 Fulton Co. to McFarland, Eliza.
(2) 22 Oct.,1864 Fulton Co., to EATON, Phoebe
James and first wife Eliza McFarland had 5 children, 3 dying in infancy
Dau Mary Vanora married MUNTWILER, and they had Iceal, who died young.
Son William Alexander Burnett married McCOY, Mattie and they had daughter Susan Iceal and son James P.

Sarah Ann married in Fulton Co., to SAMPSON, Benjamin Franklin

Martha married to PHILLIPPI, Alexander: 2 children.
